This video is comparing a student’s two handed backhand to a professional two handed backhand. Below I have included a still image at contact point to illustrate what the student’s technique should look like in blue and what they need to work on in red. In the professional shot, I have highlighted the correct technique in blue. As you can see, the highlighted areas line up at the contact point and you can easily see what needs to be corrected, the small red circle shows that the student is too close to the ball which causes his arms to be too close to his body, and doesn't allow him to extend through the ball. The bigger red circle indicates too high of a contact point. The red line indicates that his weight transfer is not set up toward his target and he his falling away from the target. On the right hand side, you can see the professional and how to correct the technique.
Student backhand errors highlighted in red, student backhand corrected with blue highlights.
Professional backhand with correct technique highlighted in blue.
